The iPhone port has been getting some love this week(-end). I wanted to see how the demo I have shown you earlier, works on the real device. And see just how slow it was running. It was expected to be quite slow at it’s current state and the characters contains quite a lot of vertices, and it uses the MD2 format. Though, I just did some quick tests and it was running with debug on a iPhone 3G.
It received two memory warnings after loading everything in and then ran at about 10 fps. There are lots of optimizations that can be made, so I will save that for the future. We will see what happens during the coming week, I want to get some designing done.
